Connected Education for Refugees: Addressing the Digital Divide

The UNHCR published an assessment in December of 2021, addressing the digital divide that refugees face nowadays. Since the start of the pandemic, education was disrupted for all learners due to the school closure, especially for refugee learners as it is estimated that they lost an average of 142 days of schooling for lack of sufficient technological equipment.

Educational responses to COVID-19 school closures have demonstrated the need for more thoughtful and inclusive digital learning approaches that can be utilized by all of the students.
