Erasmus Brussels University of Applied Sciences and Arts
Erasmus Brussels University of Applied Sciences and Arts (EhB) is a Flemish higher education institution located in Brussels. We cooperate actively with the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB) in the Brussels University Association (UAB). EhB is actively engaged in research. Artistic research groups within the Schools of Arts carry out artistic and academic research, while several Centres of Expertise engage in practice based research, are often multidisciplinary in character. Erasmus Brussels University of Applied Sciences and Arts internationalization policy is to foster an international mind-set and orientation in each student and staff member. Therefore, all departments participate actively in the Erasmus + Exchange Programme. Throughout the years, EhB has gained a lot of expertise in EU-projects. All Departments are also active members of international thematic networks. The Midwifery Department of EhB, within the Health, Design and Technology Department, has a coordinating role in the iHERE project. The Midwifery Department has experience in projects regarding vulnerable groups and health.
Center for Social Innovation
Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) is a Research and Development organization, which focuses on fostering social innovation that can bring about positive change to local, national, regional, and global entities. These entities include but are not limited to governments, local administrative agencies, non-for-profit agencies, commercial entities, and educational institutions. The CSI team is composed of open-minded, fully equipped researchers, entrepreneurs, project managers, trainers, and Information Technology Developers. CSI encompasses the capability and capacity to identify social needs, design and implement adjusted initiatives, and provide for sustainable growth. The CSI team’s areas of expertise are in the fields of traditional education and e-learning, entrepreneurship, start-ups, innovation, creativity, negotiations, IP advisory services, social responsibility, business advisory solutions, data analytics, information technologies, project management, project evaluation services, product validation, training, and computer gaming. CSI draws know-how and skills from its wide global network which includes academic institutions, IT companies, public services, international organizations, start-ups, and public services.
Tiber Umbria Comett Education Programe
TUCEP – Tiber Umbria Comett Education Programme- is a no profit Association of 12 Italian Universities, 13 Enterprises and three public entities created in 1992. TUCEP’s mission is the pro-active identification and analysis of training needs and their transformation into effective learning solutions for both, the entrepreneurial and academic world, to foster and develop collaboration between universities and the world of work, through the implementation of research and training projects aimed at promoting innovation, quality in education and training, promoting social inclusion, entrepreneurship and European values at regional, national, European level; analysis of the training needs and translate them in effective solutions and to plan solutions both for entrepreneurial and academic world, and for youth and workers.
TUCEP participated in over 100 European projects under COMETT, TEMPUS, Leonardo Da Vinci, Horizon2020, LLP Programme, COSME, ERASMUS+ (KA1 Mobility Higher Education, KA2 Knowledge Alliance, KA2 Strategic Partnership for School Education, KA2 Strategic Partnership for Youth, KA2 Strategic Partnership for Adult Education, KA2 Strategic Partnership for VET, KA3 Policy Inclusion) EU for CITIZENS, JUSTICE. Since 2003 TUCEP is also an accredited body by the Umbria Region to provide initial, higher, continous and lifelong training activities.
The Research Institute on Social Welfare Policy
The Research Institute on Social Welfare Policy (POLIBIENESTAR), is part of the Universitat de València’s research institute. It is well-known intenationally for its main research areas on innovation in social technology, technical advising and training in the social policy field. For twenty years now, the team has been doing both basic and applied research on the economic, social, political and technical sustainability aspects of welfare systems. It has been advising both the Administration and private companies on the planning, design and implementation of social welfare and sustainable resources and policies.
POLIBIENESTAR acts as an advisory team to private companies in the planning, design, development and assessment of its policies, departments and services, as well as with administration aspects. The research areas in which Polibienestar works are: Health, Smart cities, tourism, Social policy, Governance and public administrations and corporate economics. Specifically, POLIBIENESTAR has experience in the following health areas: Long-term care, Geriatric care, First Aid, Health promotion and disease prevention, Emergency services, Sympathy, Stratification, Autism, Sterility, Alzheimer’s, Oncology, Chronic diseases, Rare diseases, all under the umbrella of Health management and health economics.
Prolepsis Institute
Prolepsis Institute, a civil non-for-profit organization, was established in 1990 in Athens. With a strong belief in health being a fundamental right, Prolepsis Institute has undertaken a leading role in the field of public health, by designing and implementing initiatives on various health issues and in different sectors (e.g. education, workplace) targeting a wide range of population groups, such as children and adolescents, women, migrants, and the elderly, and different types of occupational groups, such as health professionals, as well as policy makers, other NGOs and decision makers. As a coordinator or a partner Prolepsis Institute has participated in approximately 60 EU co-funded and numerous national projects implementing research, applied and educational initiatives, aiming at health promotion and education of the public, policy change and tackling health inequalities.
Human resources consist of a multi-disciplinary experienced team of physicians, health promotion and communication specialists, statisticians, psychologists, sociologists, economists, nutritionists, food technologists, each of which undertake distinct roles in the Institute’s projects. Moreover, the Institute encourages interdisciplinary and international co-operation, creating networks of collaboration not only in Greece but also in Europe and the USA.
Xenios Polis
Xenios Polis (XP) is a private research institution (founded in early 2016) consisted of academic teachers, PhD holders, researchers, well experienced educators, adults trainers and volunteers. XP combines the forefront research with the implementation of European funded projects of social welfare and presents high quality experience in areas and fields such as culture preservation, poverty fight, disability, inclusive education, digitization, gender equality, health care, environment and climate protection. Its purpose is to give solutions to major societal challenges with emphasis on issues concerning vulnerable social groups (refugees, immigrants, unemployess, low income populations, e.t.c.), training and support. In the heart of XP actions there are the promotion of innovation and the functional integration of the opportunities offered by the ICTs.
Research and Education in Social Empowerment and Transformation- RESET CY
With over 20 years of combined experience in research and education, RESET develops constructive and education-centered solutions to the most demanding societal challenges of our time. RESET invests on the creation, evolution, and revolution of social-driven concepts, systems and practices which prioritize humanity. Our organization accelerates and amplifies positive local, national, regional and global change through the power of research and education. We aim for social development by promoting peace and justice, diversity and tolerance, and integration as well as reintegration. The purpose of RESET is to promote a fair and peaceful world through education, restorative dialogue, skill development among professionals and vulnerable groups, and constructive action. RESET is working in close cooperation with governments, local municipalities, NGOs, commercial entities, and educational institutions in order to address market, social, economic and cultural challenges.
RESET belief, is that the three pillars of our work, Research & Education, Restorative Dialogue Workshops and Training can lead to creative solutions that impact significant change to the social fabric of every society. RESET team is composed of experienced, fully equipped researchers, trainers, educators, project managers, web developers & graphic designers. The areas of expertise are in the fields of youth, VET, training, migrant integration, community-led initiatives, education/e-learning, social innovation, project management, restorative dialogue, prevention of radicalization, drug education, social and creative empowerment, and conflict resolution.
Akademie Klausenhof
Akademie Klausenhof (AK) is an international youth and adult training centre (vocational training and further education, adult education). AK is a non-profit limited company (gGmbH / catholic foundation). AK has its focus on vocational training for unemployed and young people with (learning) disabilities, second-chance education and integration courses for migrants/refugees, youth welfare service, international language courses (German as a foreign language), citizenship education, management, IT, basic skills and European projects. AK can provide about 550 boarding school places and has 325 employees. The Academy has two main sites with full board, learning and recreational facilities in Dingden and Rhede. There are approximately 750-800 participants per day, more than 800 courses/seminars and about 150 different courses in a year with overall more than 7.000 guests from all over the world yearly. Ak’s mission is more than just knowledge transfer. The concept is based on the conviction that learning also offers opportunities for the development of a strong personality that enables self-determinate actions.
