Creating a secure password:

At least 8 characters long

Include number, letters, and special characters (@, ¿, #)

Anonymous password (no names, birthdays, pet names)

Double authentication (some websites inform you by e-mail or phone if someone connects to your account from a new terminal)

Recognising spam

Look at the sender: do you know him/her? Is the name on the display consistent with the sender’s e-mail address?

Read the subject of the e-mail : It shouldn’t contain advertisements, references to unknown payments or transactions. It should be credible and relate to your situation.

Read the message: Be aware of grammar and writing mistakes, especially in formal and administrative e-mails. Don’t click on links you don’t know. Beware of requests related to money (earning a prize) or money transfers.
